Do you work on older garage doors, not just newer ones?

Yes. Given that most houses across this area were built between 1973 and 2007, with a lot of the stock from the 1980s and 90s, older extension-spring doors and original openers are common calls for us, alongside newer torsion setups.

How far out do you go from the shop?

Can you tell me a price over the phone?

Not a firm one. We can give a general range based on what you describe, but a broken spring, worn cable, and bent track all present similarly to a homeowner, and we'd rather look before quoting than guess and be wrong.

What if my door needs a part you don't have on the truck?

We tell you at the visit if that's the case. Some opener models and spring sizes aren't stock items, and we'd rather say the part needs to be ordered than promise a same-day fix we can't deliver.

Is it ever cheaper to replace the whole door instead of repairing it?

Sometimes, yes. If the panels are rusted through or the frame's out of square, sinking money into a repair just delays a replacement you'll need anyway. We'll say that plainly instead of running up a repair bill first.

What We Will Not Do

We won't quote a repair over the phone with no diagnosis behind it, because a spring problem and a track problem can look identical from where you're standing in the driveway. We won't tell you a broken spring is a quick fix if the drums, cables, or bearing plates are also worn - patching one part and leaving the rest to fail in a month isn't a repair, it's a callback waiting to happen.

We also won't push a full door replacement on a door that just needs a spring, and we won't push a repair on a door where the panels are rusted through or the frame's out of square - sometimes replacement really is the cheaper and safer call over the life of the door, and we'll say so plainly. And we won't promise same-day service on a part that has to be special-ordered; if your opener or spring size isn't something we carry on the truck, we tell you that up front instead of stringing out the wait.
